Hi there! Thanks for visiting the Chancery Labs website. My name is Chris and I am the founder of Chancery AI and Chancery Labs.

From a very young age, I've been technology obsessed. I have always had a keen interest in the latest trends, software, and gadgets (much to my wife's annoyance!). Naturally, this led to a fascination with the “elephant in the room” that stands to change society and workforces as we know it: Artificial Intelligence.

My professional career spans over 15 years in technology and security, working across sectors ranging from financial services and legal, to central and local government. In 2018, I co-founded a cyber security consultancy which was acquired by and integrated into Simpson Associates in 2021.

So, why did I start Chancery?

I have seen first-hand the positive impact that AI can have, from saving costs in business to societal improvements in policing and the public sector. While I am a technologist at heart, I am also very much a security specialist, having served as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in a data transformation consultancy for over four years.

Chancery is the result of combining these worlds: my passion for the positive impact of AI, my commercial acumen for identifying business opportunities, and my “security lens” for ensuring AI usage is safe, ethical, and compliant.

I am absolutely passionate about this topic and how it can help transform businesses of all sizes across the UK. But technology is nothing without the people who drive it. My goal is to upskill business owners and their teams, empowering them to adopt these new tools with confidence rather than fear.
